Rayden Davis of Purvis and Kage Pickett of Petal recently served as pages for the Mississippi House of Representatives. Pages generally run errands for officials and House staff.
Davis, 16, is the daughter of Amanda Davis, and she is a junior at Purvis High School. Pickett, 14, is the son of Andrea Pickett, and he is in the ninth grade at Petal High School. Both of them were sponsored for the week by their grandfather, Representative Larry Byrd (R – Petal).
When asked about her week at the Capitol, Davis said, “I have enjoyed paging for my Papa, Larry Byrd, for several years now. I love coming back to the House every year.”
“I loved getting to serve as a page in the Mississippi House of Representatives,” added Pickett. “Thank you to my Papa, Representative Byrd, for this opportunity. I can’t wait to come back again!”
