James W. Covington, CEO and Chairman of the Board of First Bank (MS) announced today that Charles H. “Charlie” Lewis, IV was named President and Chief Operating Officer of First Bank effective July 1, 2021.

Lewis, who graduated in 1993 from the University of Southern Mississippi with a B.S. in business administration with a major in accounting, has spent the past twenty-six years with Trustmark National Bank, holding a wide range of positions including branch manager, business banker, regional sales manager, commercial lender, market president and regional president.
Since 2019 he has served as Director of Enterprise Retail Services for Trustmark, where he was responsible for the development, implementation and delivery of retail processes and products throughout the retail network of Texas, Mississippi, Tennessee, Alabama and Florida.
