The Panthers snapped their three-game losing streak and earned their first win in region play. Petal improves to 3-4 overall and 1-3 in region play. The Panthers will host Meridian next week.
Sacred Heart 28, East Rankin Academy 6
The Crusaders moves to 6-2, which ties for the most wins in program history. Sacred Heart will return home next week to play East Marion.
Oak Grove 54, Terry 28
The Warriors win their fourth straight game and stay undefeated in region play. Oak Grove (7-1, 4-0) go on the road next week to face Brandon.
Brookhaven 33, Hattiesburg 14
The Tigers’ three-game win streak was snapped by Brookhaven. Hattiesburg (3-5, 3-1) will go on the road next week to face Wayne County.
Lawrence County 31, Sumrall 28
Sumrall dropped its second game of region play. The Bobcats (5-2, 1-2) will go on the road to face FCAHS next week.
Columbia 30, Purvis 6
The Tornados lost their sixth straight game and continue to search for their first region win. Purvis (1-6, 0-3) will travel to play Lawrence County next week.
Taylorsville 26, Lumberton 6
The Panthers lose their first game of region play and fall to 4-3 overall and 3-1 in region play. Lumberton will host Enterprise next week.
Stringer 50, North Forrest 48
The Eagles drop their seventh game in a row. North Forrest (0-7, 0-2) will go on the road to face Collins.
Poplarville 35, FCAHS 0
FCAHS loses its seventh game of the season, the Aggies 0-7, 0-3 will host Sumrall next week.
