Brenda Joyce Davis (72), of Purvis, passed away on April 3, 2022. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 7, at the Davis Cemetery. Moore Funeral Service is handling arrangements.
Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at West Salem Baptist Church for Mr. Jonathan Elmore of Richton. Bro. Frank Rice, Bro. Monty Bounds and Bro. Perry Robbins officiated and burial followed in West Salem Cemetery. Pallbearers were Matthew Smith, Eli Edwards, Kollyn Kitchens, Derek Conway, Ethan Burch, and Dustin Wyant with Tyler Hopkins and Scotty Elmore as alternates.
Mr. Jonathan Keith Elmore passed from this life on April 1, 2022 at the age of 30. He is survived by his loving wife of six years, Alyssa Elmore of Richton; children, Casen Jack and Avery James “A.J.” Elmore; Mother, Kay G. Elmore of Richton; sisters, Heather (Matthew) Smith of Richton, Holly (Eli) Edwards of Richton; two nieces, Madi Beth and Mollie Grace Smith; one nephew, Colton Smith; grandmother, Frances Gable of Ellisville; father and mother-in-law, Lane and Amy Boutwell of Purvis, and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Jonathan is preceded in death by his father, Mr. Keith Ashley Elmore, his paternal grandparents, Ottice N. “Jack” and Thelma Lois Elmore, and maternal grandfather, John A. Gable.
Jonathan was a fifth generation member of the West Salem Baptist Church.
Jonathan was born on August 30, 1991 to Keith and Kay Elmore of Richton. He was the Vice President/Manager of Elmore Machine Shop. Prior to his role at Elmore Machine Shop, Jonathan spent approximately ten years in the oilfield.
While Jonathan enjoyed anything outdoors, he was an avid duck hunter. He loved being on the boat, fishing with his kids, and spending time with his family and friends. He was highly favorable and never met a stranger. Out of all of his accomplishments in life, he was most proud of his wife and children.

Mr. Jack Anthony Lucus, 60, of Oxford, GA passed away March 28, 2022, at the Atlanta VA Medical Center in Decatur, GA. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Jack was born in Barstow, CA and lived his early childhood years in Oceanside, CA. After his father retired from the military the family moved home to Hattiesburg, MS. Jack attended Oak Grove High School. After high school Jack joined the Army and served his country for 21 years, with several tours abroad. Jack started a family and raised his children in Conyers, GA. Jack was self employed in the landscaping/handyman business and had many loyal customers who loved him dearly.
Jack is preceeded in death by two brothers, Ronnie Patterson and Jeffrey Lucus.
Jack is survived by two daughters, Kelly Ann Lucus of Dallas, GA and Cassandra Frances Lucus of Beech Creek, KY. Three grandchildren, Anthony James Valles, Lilly Michelle Valles of Beech Creek, KY and Ethan James Lucus of Dallas, GA, his parents, Jack and Betty Lucas of Sumrall, MS, four sisters, Evelyn Marie Kepper of Hattiesburg, MS, Mikki Pyles of Hattiesburg, MS, Cindy Brackman of Sumrall, MS, Teri Schaffer of Decatur, MS, two brothers, Scott Patterson of Petal, MS and David Allen Lucus of Oxford, GA. And a number of nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.
