The Sixth Street Museum District will hold its annual Needham Jones Bootcamp July 8 – 10, 15 and 16 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the African American Military History Museum, 305 East Sixth Street.
The Needham Jones Bootcamp is designed to equip young men 12 – 15 years of age with necessary skills to successfully navigate the upcoming school year as well as life. The camp includes community outings, lectures, interactive discussions and participatory activities in the areas of communication, leadership, time management, citizenship, community service, team building, career exploration and health and wellness. Participants receive lunch and snacks each day and are also provided with school supplies for the upcoming year.
There is a limit of 15 spaces available, and there is no cost to participate thanks to generous donors.
