Although some of the local races in the November 7 general election in Forrest County have already been decided as a result of the August 8 primary election, a few major seats do remain up for grabs in the county, including coroner, circuit clerk, prosecutor, sheriff, tax assessor, supervisor, judges and election commissioners.
Those local races will be decided along with several state offices, including governor, lieutenant governor, state treasurer, state auditor, attorney general, insurance commissioner and secretary of state. Polls will be open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. on election day, and any registered voter who is in line by 7 p.m. For more information, call the Forrest County Circuit Clerk’s Office at (601) 582-3213.
