Four men and one juvenile have been arrested in relation to a shooting incident that took place late last month on Vickers Circle in Hattiesburg that left a woman injured.
According to a news release from the Hattiesburg Police Department, each of the following individuals has been charged with one count and shooting into an occupied dwelling and one count of aggravated assault: use of a deadly weapon:
- William Beverly Jr., 19
- Deundre “Lil Dee” Medious, 21
- Ernest “Bob” Ratliff Jr., 18
- Reginald Young Jr., 18
- A juvenile whose identity will not be released because of his age.
All five suspects were booked into the Forrest County Correctional Facility.
The shooting occurred at approximately 9 p.m. on February 24, when officers responded to a call regarding gunfire at a home on Vickers Circle. Upon arriving, police discovered that the residence – which was occupied by five young children and six adults, had been struck by multiple rounds.
A woman inside the house was hit and sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Several vehicles that were parked outside of the house also were hit by gunfire when the suspects fired at other victims who were standing in the yard.
