Oak Grove lost 37-12 at Germantown, starting 0-2 for the first time since 2000 when the Warriors went 2-9 on the season. Oak Grove travels to Hattiesburg this Friday night.

Kendall Lacey earned first win as Tiger head coach with a 31-18 victory over Laurel in the Little Brown Jug game. The Tigers will host Oak Grove on Friday night in the battle of the burg’.
Petal (1-1)
After whipping Hattiesburg, Petal lost to Ocean Springs 27-17 on the road last Friday. They travel to Columbia (2-0) this week.
Lumberton (1-1)
The Panthers bounced back from an embarrassing loss at Purvis and beat rival North Forrest 32-15 at home last Friday. They host Wesson (2-0) this week.
Sumrall (2-0)
The Drew Granger era is starting off great for the Bobcats as they held on to beat Jefferson Davis County 21-20 to start 2-0 for the first time since 2023. Sumrall will host rival Purvis (1-1) this Friday, they are 15-45 all time against the Tornadoes, but have won four out of the last five meetings.
Forrest County Agriculture (2-0)
The Bo Russum era at FGAHS has started off good for the Aggies, 2-0 for the second straight season. Forrest County dispatched Long Beach 21-12 on Friday and they host Vancleave (0-2) this weekend in Brooklyn, looking to start 3-0 for first time since 2022.
North Forrest (1-1)
After a nice opening win against Enterprise Lincoln, North Forrest ran into an angry Lumberton team and fell 32-15. The Eagles host Loyd Star (2-0) this weekend at home
PCS (1-1)
After losing his opening game, Richard Chambliss earned his first win as a head coach at PCS with a 28-25 decision against Mize. The Bobcats host Pass Christian (2-0) this week looking to start 2-1.
Purvis (1-1)
After a statement opening 28-0 win over Lumberton, Purvis fell to Pass Christian 47-14 this past Friday. Brad Hankins team will head north up 589 to play Sumrall this Friday.
Sacred Heart (1-1)
Sacred Heart pounded Saint Patrick 41-0 to earn their first win of the season after losing to Centreville Academy last week. The Crusaders will host Crystal Springs this weekend for their first home game of the season.
College
Jones (2-0)
Jones has rolled to a strong 2-0 start in 2025, outscoring opponents by a wide margin—a 42-point average to just 10 allowed per game. The Bobcats look dominant on both sides of the ball as they beat Coahoma 51-20 last Thursday. Jones will host No. 9 Gulf Coast this week for their next challenge.
Pearl River (1-1)
Pearl River dropped its season opener 42-17 at home to No. 3 Northwest Mississippi Community College. They bounced back in game two with a thriller—a wild 48-42 victory, punctuated by Kedrick Triplett's electrifying 88-yard touchdown run.
Southern Miss (1-1)
After opening the season with a 34-17 loss to Mississippi State, first year head coach Charles Huff earned his first win with a 38-20 victory over Jackson State. The Golden Eagles host Appalachian State in a key conference showdown.
