The Hattiesburg Zoo is partnering with the University of Southern Mississippi Department of Physics and Astronomy to host Starry Nights from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, .
Guests of all ages can expect an out-of-this-world experience. Visitors will get to gaze at the stars with telescopes, experience nocturnal animal encounters, join in on physics experiments, make celestial-themed crafts, enjoy unlimited nighttime train and carousel rides, and more!
“This is our third year partnering with USM’s Department of Physics and Astronomy for Starry Nights and we are getting bigger each year!” said Jeremy Cumpton, education manager for Hattiesburg Zoo.
“We want everyone to come out to see incredible physics experiments, learn about our solar system, and get close with creatures of the night at this unique zoo event,”
Appetizing food selections will be available to those wanting to grab a bite from the Zoo’s Safari Grill. Admission is $5, and children under 2 are free. Tickets can be purchased at the gate the day of the event. Annual passes do apply.
