The Hattiesburg Zoo is hosting a Teacher Appreciation Night on Wednesday, November 12th from 5:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. “In this age where technology runs so much of our lives, we truly appreciate our teachers who take the time to teach environmental education and make the Hattiesburg Zoo a part of their curriculum,” said Jeremy Cumpton, Director of Conservation and education. “This evening event is designed to thank them and to introduce them to our new Field Trip programming and offerings.”
Teachers and Teacher Assistants with a valid ID will enjoy free admission, unlimited train and carousel rides, complimentary hors d’oeuvres, two drinks, animal encounters, and education stations. Zoo education staff will be onsite and available to answer any questions about field trips and other educational programs.
