LAUREL – It doesn’t count towards a playoff berth, but it’s one of the biggest weeks of the year for Hattiesburg. It’s the Battle of the Little Brown Jug, the annual rivalry between Interstate-59 foes, Laurel and the Tigers.
Exactly one year ago, junior Hattiesburg quarterback Jarod “Snoop” Conner was living in Bay Springs and playing quarterback for Sylva Bay Academy. He moved to Hattiesburg just before the Collins game in Week 3 last season and became the team’s third-string running back.
