The Sales and Marketing Professionals’ Rising Star Student Excellence Award is designed to recognize and promote outstanding achievements by students pursuing a degree in sales, marketing or a related field. Applicants for the Rising Star Student Excellence Award are required to write an essay on why they are interested in or why they are choosing their field of study and how they plan to impact the field once employed. In addition, the College Rising Stars will be asked to provide a portfolio of applicable work that has been completed during school, like a marketing plan, advertisement or press release.
An independent panel will review applications and select one High School and one College Rising Star, each of which will receive a $1,000 award to their school of choice. Award recipient(s) will be invited to attend and be recognized at the 2025 Mississippi Pinnacle Awards Gala on Tuesday, April 8, at 6 p.m. For more information contact Jami Wood, SMP Scholarship Coordinator by email, secretary@salesandmarketingprofessionals.org.
