In recognition of National Police Week, the Hattiesburg Police Department extends its sincere appreciation to the dedicated men and women who serve and protect our community, while also honoring those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
Observed annually, Police Week is a time to recognize the courage, professionalism and unwavering commitment of law enforcement officers across the nation.
Throughout the week, HPD will participate in various events designed to engage the public, celebrate community partnerships and honor fallen officers.
The department encourages residents to join in this week of recognition, reflection and appreciation.
We invite community members to take part in events and show support for those who serve. A kind word or small gesture goes a long way to let our officers know their service is valued.
