The Hattiesburg Arts Council’s 2023 Emerging Artists & High School Loft Exhibit is Saturday, November 18 from 3-5 p.m. Artists’ acknowledgements are at 4pm. This event is free and open to the public, and will take place at the Hattiesburg Cultural Center, 723 North Main Street, Downtown Hattiesburg.
This year's featured artists are: Javaughn Alexander, Simon Alvarez, Melanie Bell, Alicia Chavez, Chloe Courtney, Abby Cross, Haven Dearman, Delanie Dublin, Donisha Edwards, Kamea Foster, Queeko Franks, Hannah Grubbs, Gabrielle Hulin, Christian Koerber, Gabby Ladd, Alysen Matthews, Christopher Massie, Andrew Mayers, Gretchen McClure, Calvin McNair, Emma Nehlig, Sage Pendergrass, Ella Pitts, Jonathan Sims, Raena Sosa, Maxine Stupple, Keith Thornhill, Ana Claire Walters, Gwyn Weber, Mordecai Wilson
High school art teachers are given the opportunity to showcase their student's artwork in the Loft Exhibit. Several of our area high schools will be participating this year.
In addition, William Carey University, The University of Southern Mississippi, and Pearl River Community College will have informational recruitment tables in place at the reception.
