Habitat for Humanity of the Pine Belt and the Family YMCA are hosting our Fourth Annual Monster Mash Mud Run. It will be a 5K/10K, obstacle event. The charity event is set for Saturday, October 28 and will start at 7 a.m. at the South Side of Evelyn Gandy Parkway, behind The Carters Jeweler’s billboard. The 10K race kicks off at 9 a.m. and the 5K race kicks off at 10 a.m. This year, we are expecting at least 300 participants at our charity event. Early bird registration for the race is $25 for the 5K & $30 for the 10K and will include a free t-shirt, if you are pre-registered by October 3. All pre-registered participants will receive a finishing medal and race winners will receive awesome prizes.
This year Pine Belt Habitat and the YMCA are offering a four-man team. In addition, Pine Belt Habitat will offer a free Kids Zone for event participants only. Various Food & Beer vendors will be on hand for the event. Habitat is partnering with several community sponsors like, Havard Pest Control, who is our Presenting Sponsor. The money raised from this event will be used to serve more families with affordable housing solutions across our four service counties and will help further our mission of eliminating substandard housing. Funds from this event will enable Habitat for Humanity of the Pine Belt to continue to build safe and affordable housing for families in need, here in the Pine Belt Area. Habitat for Humanity will be using the proceeds from this event to complete one project in the Hattiesburg Area of Palmer’s Crossing.
