Unlike many schools in Mississippi, Forrest County Agricultural High School will not be playing its season opener this week.
According to Athletic Director and football coach Brad Calcote the team is forced to delay the season because of COVID-19 protocols.
“We will pick back up on Sept. 25,” Calcote said. “It’s COVID-19 protocols. We found out this week.”
FCAHS is forced to cancel its season opener road game against Bay High on Sept. 4 and its road game on Sept. 18 against Pearl River Central. FCAHS will now play a five-game season.
The program has stopped all practices this week and will begin its season at home against Northeast Jones.
