Forrest Health’s Spirit of Women proudly announced their upcoming annual event featuring keynote speaker, Kelli Finglass, director and former member of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. This year’s event, a luncheon entitled The Grit Behind the Glam, is set for Oct. 7 from 11:30 am to 1 p.m. at the Lake Terrace Convention Center.
“Kelli will share stories that are sure to entertain and inspire as she highlights the values many of us grew up with- Southern hospitality, charm, tradition and the ever-changing roles women take on today,” said vice president of Forrest Health, Millie Swan. “As a Southerner, her message is likely to resonate with many of us- just like the Spirit of Women’s mission to champion women’s health in both purpose and practice.”
Finglass was a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader from 1984 to 1989, and was the first cheerleader with the organization to be invited back for a fifth season without having to re-audition. After retiring from cheering, she went on to serve as assistant director for the squad before eventually being named the director in 1991 at the age of 27.
