Deputies from the Forrest County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics division had a busy month in June, making 10 arrests involving drugs, weapons and fugitive charges during that time period.
According to a Facebook post from the department, the following individuals were taken into custody over the past month and booked into the Forrest County Correctional Facility:
- Eric Black: Charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute;
- Jennifer Cary: Charged with possession of a weapon by a convicted felon;
- Desmond McRaney: Charged with possession of a controlled substance (heroin);
- Robert Moody: Charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine);
- Taylor Moore: Charged with possession with intent to distribute (heroin) and fugitive other jurisdiction;
- John Parker: Charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute (heroin);
- Andrew Sellers: Charged with three counts of sale of a controlled substance;
- Dimitri Stewart: Charged with fugitive other jurisdiction;
- Jason Thompson: Charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute; and
- Lucas Thornton: Charged with possession of a controlled substance (heroin).
“Our deputies and narcotic agents will continue to combat the war on drugs in our community,” the department’s Facebook post states.
