The Crusaders finish the regular season 9-1 overall and 4-1 in the region. Sacred Heart, which will be a No. 2 seed in the Class 1A playoffs, will host Noxapater in the first round.
Lumberton 19, Resurrection 14
The Panthers finish the year 6-4 overall and 4-1 in the region. However, since Lumberton did not beat Resurrection by 11 points or less, the Eagles clinched the No. 1 seed of Region 8-1A, Sacred Heart is the No. 2 seed and Lumberton is the No. 3 seed. The Panthers will travel to play Ethel in the first round of the Class 1A playoffs.
Oak Grove 31, Pearl 13
The Warriors improved to 8-1 overall and 3-1 in region play. Oak Grove will host rival Petal next week.
Petal 38, Northwest Rankin 31
The Panthers snap a three-game losing streak and improve to 4-5 overall and 1-3 in region play. Petal will travel to play Oak Grove.
Hattiesburg 39, Terry 0
The Tigers extend their win streak to six straight and move to 7-2 overall and 3-0 in the region. Hattiesburg will host West Jones for a winner-take-all matchup to decide Region 3-6A.
North Forrest 57, Leake Central 42
The Eagles finish the regular season 3-6 overall and 1-3 in the region. North Forrest clinches the No. 4 seed for Region 8-2A and will travel to play Raleigh in the first round of the playoffs.
Lawrence County 36, FCAHS 31
The Aggies finished the year 5-4 overall and 1-3 in the region. FCAHS clinched the No. 3 seed of Region 7-4A and will travel to play Northeast Jones to open the playoffs.
Columbia 34, Purvis 21
The Tornadoes finish the year 5-5 overall and 1-4 in the region.
Madison-Ridgeland Academy, PCS 10
The Bobcats finish the regular season 3-7 and 1-4 in district play. PCS will travel to play Jackson Academy in the first round of the MAIS 6A playoffs.
Sumrall experienced a bye this past week. The Bobcats clinched the No. 4 seed of Region 7-4A and finished the regular season 4-5 overall and 1-3 in the region. Sumrall will open the Class 4A playoffs on the road against Quittman.
