Sacred Heart 41, Salem 6
The Crusaders off to their first-ever 2-0 start in region play as they stay undefeated and move to 7-0. Sacred Heart goes on the road to face Lumberton.
Lumberton 14, East Marion 8
The Panthers (4-3) rattle off their third straight win and move to 2-0 in region play. Lumberton hosts Sacred Heart next week.
Sumrall 21, Purvis 13
The Bobcats (4-3, 1-1) pick up their first region win after holding off a second-half comeback by Purvis. Sumrall returns home to host Columbia, while Purvis travels to face Lawrence County.
Brandon 54, Petal 17
The Panthers (3-3, 0-1) drop their region opener, and have now lost three of their last four games. Petal returns home to host Pearl, next week
Heidelberg 56, North Forrest 14
The Eagles (2-5) drop their fifth straight game and fall to 0-2 in region play. North Forrest will host Richton next week.
Columbia 49, FCAHS 8
The Aggies drop their second straight game and fall to 4-3 overall and 0-2 in region play. FCAHS will have a bye next week.
Jackson Prep 49, PCS 0
The Bobcats (2-5) drop their fourth straight game and fall to 0-2 in district play. Next week, PCS goes on the road to face St. Joseph Catholic.
Hattiesburg had a bye this week, but will open region play next week against Forest Hill.
