The Hattiesburg Pocket Museum and Saenger Theater unveiled today “First & Second” an art installation featuring violins decorated by 24 artists to support and promote FestivalSouth 2024. The installation will be displayed May 1 through June 30. “Roaring 20s” was the theme for this art installation and artists were asked to use it as a guideline for creating their finished violin.
Artists include Whitney Cochran, Lisa Conn, Raine DeLancey, Patricia Emmett, Kym Garraway, Courtney Germany, Glenda Grubbs, Kerrigan Jackson, Lillianna Johnson, Shannon Kimbriel, Sedna Lynn, Kalia Lockett, Jenny Morato, Cameron Morris, Jennifer Parsons, Lucinda Perniciaro, Brian Rifkin, Bridget Smith, Colbey Sparkman, Aubri Sparkman, Raquel Strong, Madi Wedgeworth, Brittany Whittington and Kari Zendejas.
“We had an overwhelming response to our ‘call for artists’ on this art installation,” said Todd Goode, Saenger Theater Manager. “The installation is impactful, and we are proud to show our support for FestivalSouth, and its positive effect it has on our community.
