FestivalSouth announces its 2023 finale, “Iconic: a Cirque Rock Symphonic Extravaganza,” presented with support from Cadence Band and Southern Beverage. From the music of Aerosmith, Foreigner, and Journey to top hits by Bruno Mars, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, and many more, the FestivalOrchestra takes the stage as dazzling artists from Cirque de la Symphonie juggle, bend, and fly overhead. This epic rock concert also brings together Vasti Jackson, Barry Leech, and the reunion of the cast of “Forever Queen,” including Michael Muenchow Rivera, who portrayed Freddie Mercury in last year’s electric FestivalFinale. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, tickets are now on sale at festivalsouth.org for the concert event that will have you pumping your fist in the air and rockin’ all night long!
“The FestivalFinale has always been an incredible evening of music,” said Artistic Director, Dr. Mike Lopinto. “This year, the combined energy of our past Queen and Motown finales had nowhere to go but up – by adding cirque performers.”
The traditional Saenger venue was no longer big enough to hold the full orchestra, choirs, soloists, and aerialists, so the Lake Terrace Convention Center became the perfect venue to host this spectacular event.
The announcement of this rock extravaganza pre-Valentine’s Day makes tickets a perfect gift for anyone. Priced at only $30 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under with adult ticket purchase, the concert won’t break the bank and is a great way to celebrate a date night full of nostalgia and legendary music.
