The Lawn at Lake Terrace recently announced that country music mainstay, Joe Nichols, and one of country music’s promising new artists, Tyler Braden will perform at its outdoor venue on Saturday, September 18.
Nichols has been a mainstay of country music for two decades, bridging the gap between the genre’s old-school roots and contemporary era. He’s a 21st century traditionist – an artist who’s both timely and timeless, racking up a half-dozen Number 1 singles and ten Top 10 hits with a sound that honors his heroes.
From his first radio smash, 2002’s “The Impossible”, to 2021’s Home Run,” Nichols has proudly done things his own way, blurring the boundaries between country music’s past and present along the way.
Nichols has earned multi-platinum success, three Grammy nominations, a CMA award and an ACM trophy. For Nichols – an Arkansas native who grew up listening to icons like George Strait, Merle Haggard, George Jones and Buck Owens – keeping things country has been a lifelong mission.
Nichols swings for the fences once again with his newest single, “Home Run,” written by award-winning songwriters Ashley Gorley, Dallas Davidson and Ross Copperman. It’s a song about reconnection and rebirth – an anthem for anyone looking to turn life’s curveballs into a straight shot toward the center field seats.
Joining Nichols for this concert will be Tyler Braden, a country artist ready to set the world on fire.
Tyler has the gritty powerhouse vocal, the expressive pen and the ability to deliver a lyric with complete conviction worthy of a headliner.
Braden grew up in Slapout, Alabama just miles from the graveyard memorial to Hank Williams.
With parents who fostered an early appreciation for country music, guitar-playing songwriters populating the airwaves and a group of rock-loving friends by his side, he spent much of his life blending natural influences to craft a sound of his own.
His early twenties saw him playing local shows and touring the southeast while serving as a first responder in Montgomery.
With nearly 30 million streams already to his name and a growing list of major tour credits, he introduced himself to world as a major label recording artist this spring with his take on NEEDTOBREATHE hit “Brother.”
Praised for his “commanding delivery” (MusicRow), Braden offered the song as a tribute to his first responder family and all those fighting on the frontlines during the pandemic.
This summer he offered words from his own pen in his first original Warner Music Nashville release “Love Is A Dead End Road” (Braden, Chase Rice, Brock Berryhill) and most recently shared his solo-written reflection on a small town, “Secret.
Doors open for this concert at 5:30 p.m. The local opening act, which has not been confirmed, will begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by Tyler Braden and Joe Nichols.
VIP table seating for six, is available for $60 a ticket, and additional tiered seated and standing tickets will range from $25 - $45. Tickets are on sale at jnandtbatthelawn.eventbrite.com.
