Pearl River men's soccer's Drew Rumery (Ocean Springs) and women's soccer's Callie Jones (Laurel; West Jones) have been named the ForrestHealth Wildcats of the Week for their standout performances.
DREW RUMERY
Rumery scored just one goal last week for Pearl River men's soccer, but he made sure it was in a big moment. With the score 1-1 in the 65th minute Friday night against rival Gulf Coast, Ashtin Yard (Biloxi) perfectly lofted the ball into the box, setting up Rumery, who finished to score the go-ahead and ultimately game-winning goal against the Bulldogs. This goal marks Rumery's first of the season.
CALLIE JONES
Jones delivered an impressive performance in Decatur on Tuesday, scoring two goals and recording an assist. She continued her strong play with another assist in the matchup against rival Gulf Coast. Through six games, the freshman has tallied two goals and three assists.
