On Thursday, November 4, 2021, Hattiesburg Police, with direction and guidance from the 12th Circuit Court District Attorney’s Office charged an individual with kidnapping.
Jahaziel Guerrero, 24, of North Carolina, was arrested and charged with one count of kidnapping, in connection to an incident that occurred at a restaurant in the 6100 block of Highway 49 on November 2, 2021.
On Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2021, after responding to a report of a disturbance, officers initially charged Guerrero with disorderly conduct failure to comply, disorderly conduct- interference with business/customers, and public drunkenness in connection to the incident.
The juvenile that was involved in the matter was not injured in the incident, and reunited with family members within minutes.
Today, Thursday, Nov. 4, 2021, with direction and guidance from the 12th Circuit Court District Attorney’s Office, the kidnapping charge has been added.
Guerrero has been booked into the Forrest County Jail.
