The Buffalo Bills signed Southern Miss running back Frank Gore Jr. as an undrafted free agent.
Cameron Wolfe of the NFL Network first reported the signing. Gore is the son of Frank Gore Sr., who is the NFL's third all-time career rusher with 16,000 yards.
Gore is the third all-time leading rusher in school history. The Miami native's 4,022 rushing yards trail Ito Smith and Damion Fletcher.
This past year, Gore ran for 1,131 yards, recorded 221 receiving yards and totaled 13 touchdowns. Gore also racked up 329 yards on 21 carries in the bowl win, setting the new pace for rushing yards in an FBS bowl game in the 2023 LendingTree Bowl.
There were no Southern Miss players selected in this year's NFL Draft. Gore is the first Golden Eagle to sign as an undrafted free agent.
