Notable speakers, performances, reading of the story of Christmas, music, hot chocolate and bounce houses for the children set the scene for Santa and Mrs. Claus’ appearance in their sleigh, Santa 1.
Performances by the Central Baptist Church and Youth Challenge Academy choirs opened the ceremony, followed by remarks from Colonel Lee Henry, Commander of Camp Shelby, General Bobby Ginn, former Commander and Colonel David Williams.
“[We love seeing] all these kids running around,” said Ginn. “This is what this is all about.”
