PETAL – A couple of fast starts in each half gave the Petal Panthers the upper hand in a first-round matchup with the D’Iberville Warriors Friday night.
Despite a furious comeback by the Warriors, Petal held on for a 42-28 win, and the Panthers will travel to Meridian in the second round of the 6A playoffs next week.
