With a dismal 16 percent of registered voters going to the polls Tuesday, Lamar County followed the state’s lead in supporting incumbents in the primary election.
However, local electors had different Democratic leaders in the U.S. Senate race to fill the seat vacated by the retiring Thad Cochran.
