The Oak Grove Warriors find themselves back in M.M. Roberts Stadium for the second year in a row after a 35-28 South State championship win on the road against Petal.

Lumberton jumped out early and never let off the pedal as the Panthers dominated Richton 55-7 and marked their spot in the state championship game next weekend at M.M. Roberts Stadium on the Southern Miss campus.

The Lumberton Panthers are heading to the South State Championship after defeating Leflore County in a nail biter Friday night.

In a game that see-sawed back and forth with five lead changes, Lumberton’s defense again stood strong late in the game to give the Panthers the 29-28 win in dramatic fashion.
