In a night where temperatures dipped to the mid 40’s, the Lumberton Panthers were red hot enroute to a 50-16 win over visiting Mount Olive. The night was full of energy as the Panthers dominated for the majority of the game on senior night.
The Hattiesburg High Tigers extended their winning streak to three games with the 45-21 victory over the Gautier Gators on senior night. The Tigers are now looking to face the East Central Hornets next as both teams are hoping to clinch a spot in the playoffs.
Battle of The Eagles
There was not much soaring in the matchup between the Eagles of North Forrest and East Marion Thursday night as the visitors took hold of the 8-0 victory.
On senior night, Purvis’ five-game winning streak came to a screeching halt as they were blanked by Poplarville, 61-0. But it got worse. With 2:48 left in the second quarter, junior quarterback Hunter Robinson went out with an injury that sent him to the hospital.
