The City of Petal is hosting a Health and Community Fair from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, at the Petal Civic Center. The event is the first held in a long time, according to Wendy Lampton, deputy city clerk, Payroll clerk and Fall Festival coordinator for the city.
“We first thought about just doing this for our city employees, but then decided to open it up to the public,” Lampton said. “We would like to personally invite everyone to join us.”
More than 30 vendors will set up to provide information and bring awareness to their businesses, organizations and services.
According to Lampton, health gyms, healthcare clinics, civic organizations, state retirement, eye clinics, the YMCA and more will be on hand. Some of them include Southern Bone & Joint, Forrest General Trauma, Mississippi Organ Recovery, Kinetix Gym, Pine Belt Dermatology, PERS of Mississippi, Mississippi State Extension Service, various offices of Merit Health, Petal Jaycees, Hattiesburg Sleep Center, Mareno Eye Care, Mississippi Deferred Comp and others.
