After 232 years, it’s time to modernize the U.S. Constitution

It’s time to modernize the United States Constitution.  The means and method for doing this would involve a Constitutional Convention with debate among jurists, political scientists, historians, other learned persons and include a representative sampling of Americans from across the nation’s cultural spectrum.

Several years ago, I was speaking to a group of high school students in the cafeteria of their school. On the surface it looked like most school cafeterias I have known – the same tables, chairs, and walls with student posters hanging on them. Though on one side of the room there was a line of 10 or 12 microwave ovens.
