Blakely Baudoin, 18, a senior at Sumrall High School, was recently selected to serve as Miss Hospitality for Lamar County in 2019. She is the daughter of Blake and Ashley Baudoin, also of Sumrall.
Baudoin will serve a full year as Lamar County’s community spokesperson, promoting visitation and development and will also compete at the state level for the title of Mississippi’s Miss Hospitality. This year’s state competition will be held July 26 and 27 at the Historic Saenger Theater in downtown Hattiesburg.
The Miss Hospitality program has supported talented and intelligent women for 70 years through a scholarship and prize program. Contestants are eligible for more than $100,000 in scholarships and prizes, including cash and college-granted funds. The program partners with colleges and universities across the state to provide opportunities for contestants to further their education.
