Homes of Hope for Children, a Christian children’s home located in Purvis, has announced plans to take its annual silent and live auction into the virtual world with the help of Jeff Martin Auctioneers.
“One of our biggest fundraisers of the year is a silent and live auction event that is attended by 400-500 people,” said Dr. Michael Garrett, executive director. “Due to coronavirus concerns, Homes of Hope is announcing a new format for this year’s event. Rather than gather together as a group, this year’s auction is being conducted completely online.”
The online auction will run from Aug. 21-29 and will feature many great items including coastal getaways, culinary experiences, sports memorabilia and practical items such as grills, gift cards and more.
A preview of items is available now, and new items are being added weekly.
“We wish to thank Havard Pest Control for their title sponsorship of this year’s event for the sixth year in a row,” said Garrett. “And, thanks to the generosity of our donors, not only will folks be bidding on great items, but they will also provide for the daily needs of the kids we serve.”
