Matani joins Hospital Care Service
Nedal M. Matani, MD, recently joined Hattiesburg Clinic Hospital Care Service.
As a hospitalist, Matani provides comprehensive care for patients who are in the hospital and consults with other specialists and the patients’ primary care provider, as needed.
Matani received his medical degree from the University of Jordan in Amman, Jordan. He completed internship and residency programs in internal medicine through New York Medical College at St. Michael's Medical Center in Newark, N.J.
Barham Joins Oak Grove Family Clinic
Kara L. Barham, CNP, recently joined Hattiesburg Clinic Oak Grove Family Clinic.
Barham works under the supervision of J.D. Dumas III, MD, treating chronic and acute conditions and promoting health and disease prevention. She also has a special interest in performing minor outpatient procedures.
Barham received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Southern Mississippi School of Nursing in Hattiesburg and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Mississippi School of Nursing in Jackson. She is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
FGH Rehabilitation Center earns CARF Accreditation
The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities International announced that Forrest General’s Rehabilitation Center has been accredited for a period of three years for its General Adult and Stroke programs. The latest accreditation is the fifth consecutive Three-Year Accreditation that the international accrediting body, CARF, has given to Forrest General’s Rehabilitation Center.
This accreditation decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be given to an organization and shows the organization’s substantial conformance to the CARF standards.
