H’burg Clinic hosts ADHD meet


Hattiesburg Clinic Connections and Psychology & Counseling is hosting the 15th Annual Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Related Concerns Conference today and Friday.

The conference, which takes place from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. is being held at Temple Baptist Church, 5220 Old Highway 11 in Hattiesburg.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from experts in behavioral and mental health and other related fields and will be able to network with professionals from a variety of specialties, making it a valuable educational resource for all who attend.

This year’s keynote speaker is Kevin Spencer, an educator, artist, consultant, and social entrepreneur who uses arts to provide access and opportunity to individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities.

Considered a world-renowned illusionist with more than 30 years in the entertainment industry, Spencer is a leading authority on the educational and therapeutic benefits of arts-based programs in education and rehabilitation. He is also the founder of Hocus Focus, Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to empowering people of all abilities and working toward full inclusion of those with abilities different than our own.
