Petal restaurants, bars limited to carry-out, drive-through or delivery

Following shortly behind similar declarations issued by officials in Forrest County and Hattiesburg, Petal Mayor Hal Marx has declared an emergency declaration restricting all city restaurants, bars and nightclubs to take-out, pickup or delivery only, along with restrictions for certain other establishments, until further notice.


USM announces temporary waiver for graduate school test requirements

In response to current restrictions created by the COVID-19 health crisis, the University of Southern Mississippi is temporarily waiving requirements for the Graduate Management Admission Test and the Graduate Records Examinations for all Graduate School applicants during the summer and fall 2020 admission periods.
