In the face of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, Forrest General Hospital and Hattiesburg Clinic are partnering to open a Cough & Fever Clinic to help stop the spread of the virus by reducing the number of symptomatic patients who visit a primary or urgent care facility.

Representative Billy Andrews of Purvis has resigned from the Mississippi House of Representatives, about two months after indicating Republican House Speaker Philip Gunn is going against state law by blocking him and other members of the Legislature from receiving their state government pensions while serving in the House.

A 1,000-point club member, Hudson signs with PRCC

PURVIS – Senior Kennedy Hudson joined rare company earlier this season by eclipsing the 1,000-point club in her Lady Tornadoes career, but her final five points were a little tougher to get than the first 995.

“(Joining the 1,000-point club) showed that the hard work over the past three years had paid off,” Hudson said.
