Art council seeks community support at Nov.28 meeting

The Petal Arts Council will host its second meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 28, at 5:30 p.m.

The informational meeting will be held at Southern Canvas and will be an opportunity for Petal residents to learn more about the organization and share ideas to promote the arts in the city to bring about a vibrant arts community.

The Mississippi Superintendents’ Collaborative member districts, made up of nine school districts from across the state, held the inaugural New Teachers’ Conference at The University of Southern Mississippi. Approximately 200 first-year teachers attended the conference.
