Forrest General Hospital, along with other national, state and community organizations, is leading a massive effort to highlight the importance of advance healthcare decision-making – an effort that has culminated in the formal designation of April 16 as National Healthcare Decisions Day.
For the second-consecutive year, Signature Magazine is giving Best of the Pine Belt voters a front row seat to see and hear some of his year’s nominated bands perform live and in person. In fact, this year there will be two chances – one in Hattiesburg and one in nearby Laurel.
Kent McCarty, the winner of the recent House District 101 special election, was sworn into the Mississippi House of Representatives on Monday, April 8. McCarty took the oath of office and was sworn in by Speaker of the House Philip Gunn to serve the district in Lamar County.
Mary McIntire, a junior at Sacred Heart Catholic School, will attend The Lott Leadership Institute for exceptional high school students who are interested in leadership. The institute is sponsored by the University of Mississippi.
