State Rep. Doug McLeod, R-Lucedale, was unopposed for re-election this year. But after a domestic violence charge was filed against him last weekend, it is clear that he’s the only person who can prevent his return to the Mississippi Legislature.
In the fall of 2006, the University of Southern Mississippi dedicated a four-story, $34 million dollar 237,000 square foot addition to its R.C. Cook University Union. The facility was named after U.S. Senator Thad Cochran, who was in attendance for the dedication.
Cochran died early Thursday morning at the age of 81.

Students who finished their last year of high school on the campuses of Eureka, Hattiesburg/Blair, Hattiesburg/North Main Street, L.J.
