The Sacred Heart Crusaders and Lady Crusaders earned a pair of wins over Sumrall Monday at the Sacred Heart Athletic Complex. Both Sacred Heart teams beat the Bobcats and Lady Bobcats 4-0, too.

USM announces 2018 baseball schedule


HATTIESBURG – Southern Miss baseball coach Scott Berry announced Wednesday the schedule for the team’s 2018 season, which includes 27 home games, a return trip to Pensacola for the Cox Diamond Invitational and a tournament appearance in the Stephen F. Austin event.

Dick Enberg: the voice of championships


Sports broadcaster extraordinaire Dick Enberg died during the Christmas holidays – Dec. 21 to be exact – at the age of 82. He brought such joy to most sports fans' lives, including this one, his passing should not go without comment.
